Off-campus access is provided to remote resources primarily by proxy server.  This automatic system asks you to authenticate yourself if you are selecting an item from the Databases & E-Resources page. Connecting through a VPN is possible, but not recommended because of performance issues. If you do require your VPN to be active while using library resources, you will need to set it up with a configuration slightly different from that recommended by IT.  Below are two links on how to set up VPN for library materials use.
