Circulation services for faculty
Services for S&T Faculty
- Course Reserves - Faculty members may request that Missouri S&T-owned materials be placed on reserve, or may send their own materials to be put on reserve. We cannot place items borrowed from other campuses on reserve. We will accept materials for Electronic Reserve at the Circulation Desk in the library, or by e-mail at library@mst.edu. Requests for items to be placed on reserve are made through a Google Form. We can place items in Canvas to limit access to students in specific classes, if allowed to edit by the instructor of the course. Copyrighted material will only be placed in Canvas, and will be limited by fair use standards.
- Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program/Visiting Scholars
- Requesting new titles for the library collection
- Fines and bills - Missouri S&T charges fines of $1 per day for overdue RECALLED items. Billed MOBIUS items carry a $25 billing fee that cannot be forgiven. Missouri S&T cannot forgive fines charged by other campuses.
- Part-time faculty, research faculty, and visiting scholars may have full use of the library for the length of their appointments. Library accounts are not automatically generated for these positions, though, so the home department should send an e-mail to library@mst.edu. The e-mail should state the faculty/scholar's name, campus address and phone number, and beginning and end dates of the appointment. The faculty/scholar will also be asked to fill out a new patron data form in the library.
S&T Scholars Visiting Other Institutions
When S&T faculty members visit another campus, the Curtis Laws Wilson Library can often arrange courtesy borrowing privileges at that institution’s library. Please contact the Library (library@mst.edu) prior to your visit so we can contact the host library and provide any credentials you will need to present.
Scholars Visiting S&T
Scholars who are visiting Missouri S&T on an official basis are eligible for borrowing and library privileges. Library privileges include inter-library loan and access to electronic resources for the duration of the visiting appointment.
